Eye Makeup Ideas
The eyes can be such a noticeable feature on your face; you want to do what you can to make sure they are noticed in a good way. With a few basic eye makeup tips, you can help your eyes stand out and show your true beauty.
One of the biggest mistakes people make when applying eye makeup is to use the wrong type of brush. It might be obvious that you don’t want to use a blush brush to apply your eye shadow, but there are a lot of other ways that brushes can keep you from achieving your best look. If the brush isnt good quality, then it wont apply your makeup as evenly with a consistent look.
Two other brushes that I want handy when I am applying my eye makeup is a blending brush and an eye liner brush. The blending brush can be used after you have applied your eye makeup to help soften the colors if needed. It can help create a more uniform look.
The liner brush is one of my favorite makeup tools I have. It allows me to use eye shadow as eye liner. This way, I have a lot of colors to choose from. Also, the brush is cut diagonally so I have the freedom to apply a thin liner look or a thicker look. When I use this brush, I really do feel like an artist; and believe me, if I can feel like an artist, anyone can.
On days when you just dont feel like putting in much time on your makeup, remember that mascara can be your best friend. Mascara really helps open up the eyes. By darkening your eyelashes, you give your eye color more of a chance to pop as well. Mascara on a nicely curled lash sometimes can be all the makeup you need.
When you do decide to apply a little bit more makeup, be sure to start with a concealer on the eye lid. There are some great concealers out there that are specifically designed to help keep your eye makeup in place. The concealer can help sharpen the color of the shadows you are using and it also keeps your makeup on throughout the day so you dont end up with that worn out look.
Eye makeup can be the most beautiful part of your look if it is done correctly. By using a concealer to hold your makeup in place and using the right brushes, you can create a finished look that will leave people wondering who your makeup artist is.
